went to the sailing party yesterday... AWESOME!! it was fantastic!
went out sailing on board with nabs, joyce and jem, and with miranda and dawn showing us the ropes of sailing.. damn fun la! hahaa i think i really might join sailing! i think we were out at sea for more than an hour but it felt like nothing!
then me, joyce and nabs went off exploring raffles marina.. my goodness the scenery was so picturesque! we took like so many pictures (thanks to jem who was our unofficial photographer heehee)
then met up with cq, eugene and another freshie and went on board 'four friends', which was used for the sail trip that cq went.. talked to the captain and his wife and it was way cool.



then dinner and after dinner, ppl started throwing each other into the pool. so intelligently, me, joyce, nabs, denise and shawn went into hiding.... and ran into andrew in our hiding place! but they eventually realised we were missing and found us despite our best efforts to remain as inconspicuous as possible. youjin like practically carried me all the way to pool just to dump me in it la! no wait, he carried me and jumped straight into the pool instead! and eventually, all of us gals got thrown in with varying degrees of screaming.. then we just hung around in the pool, amused ourselves with the pool slide and finally settled ourselves in the jacuzzi pool.. then the rest of the sailors came and joined us and there were like abt 15 ppl in the moderately sized jacuzzi pool, with beer! hahaa.. da life man!
eventually went to shower off at 10+ after almost 3 hrs in the pool i think..
then jem sent joyce and me home.. thank goodness for the ride! cant imagine making my way home from tuas man! thanks jem!!

did nothing much the past few days.. mainly because my nose and my throat acting up again.. and the funny thing is that it gets worse at night. the blocked nose will only happen at night and i even ran a slight fever on thurs nite. man, felt like a sick cat. uhm tt sounds a bit wrong. i was trying to say "bing4 mao1".. hope its just the common flu and nothing else!


so, sorry ah vanessa for pang sehing u.. party can always another day yeah?
and yv came over today to clear our ais hwk but darn, that hwk is impossible. in the end we spent a long time deciding on what to crap for the assignment. bahhhh.

but today's CAT and TWC classes were so ultra slow paced that i couldn't really stand it.. twc's b.o.r.i.n.g!! argh! no kidding but i'd rather do income tax!

anyway. had my first lessons alr. ais on monday. i have an insane prof in mitchell williams. he has like, 1001 facial expression and i suspect he might have a split personality too. he competes in ironman competitions, is a self-declared grump who is never in a good mood and is a stickler on not using handphones in class. wheee we are gonna have a fun ais class man.


income tax today sees a familiar prof in khoo teng aun. and in fine tradition, he started with a cold joke too.
a bartender has a lemon which has been squeezed dry. he challenged the ppl around him to squeeze out just one more drop of juice from the lemon. the 1st fat man stepped forward, used his might and nothing came out. the 2nd strong man stepped forward, used his strength and still nothing came out. the 3rd skinny man came forward and amazingly, there came 1 drop, 2 drops, 3 drops of lemon juice! amazed, the bartender asked how he managed to do it. his response? cos i'm from the IRAS!
yes join me in breaking out in cold sweat. that aside, income tax is actually quite interesting! but kinda complicated though. must do with a clear mind man..


went shopping on monday after ais class! sinful!! spent alot of money man! gahhhhh! i. must. control. my. spending!!!
tried to spend my tuesday aftnn getting some readings done. TRYING. argh somebody kill me. i cant do FA for nuts!

busy 4 days....


international students' camp
it was..... an interesting experience. hahhaaa... come to think of it, my grp was pretty good man. they didnt really give me problems at all. nice. at least they enjoyed the animal game i taught them n we had great fun playing that. [thx yvonne for the drink water forfeit inspiration! ahahahha!]


but the best parts were when us facils got together for facil time la. lmao the way we talk. i can esp remember marcus with his description of spiderweb in chinese. we slack together at every opportunity man.
and our great escape. waaay cool la. had great fun at mambo tt nite. went to meet changqi for a while to drink n talk. ie he drink n i talk. cos i cant really drink la. then he had to go take care of his drunk fren also. went back to meet the intl camp facils [joyce, nabs, charmain, yiling, jem, damon n me] n mambo-ed the night away.
acty i saw marcus frm sp also but then cant be bothered to go n talk haha. sheesh.
was a huge rush back to camp after mambo. n mamboing felt so surreal. it's like.. seeing the freshies again in camp makes me wonder if the night before really happened. but it's all great thou.
aft the freshies left for their city tour, us facils went home to bathe before meeting again at this north indian restaurant at boat quay for dinner. went to walk ard after dinner with some of them. i wanna sit the g-max someday! hahahaahaa..


so all in all, intl camp was actually quite fun man. got some pretty interesting pics tt i can threaten ppl with.. n of cos the banana vid and the kaching vid. lmao...



went sch to config my lappy to the sch network.. n man there was a humongous queue! alot alot of ppl man. i thought i'll surely be late for convoc rehearsal man.. but dingding! luckily i saw andy who, after abit of persuasion, helped me config my lappy in the space of like, 2 mins. thank goodness man. n i wasnt late for convoc rehearsal! hahaha..
rehearsal lasted till like LATE. i couldnt take it alr at abt 11.30pm.. my energy was like, sapped.


and finally convoc yday. finally! was at suntec since early in the morning for the bands' tech run n mcp rehearsal.. then sort of went away to find my section facils.. but only found some of them. youyi was best la.. so late! haha.. acty the whole convoc wasnt a biggie deal to me la. it just feels like another event.
went for dinner with some friends, who (to my surprise) included sebs, dot, alwyn, shumei etc. n it was superbly funny cos they kept making fun of jonny bcos of his overly pink blusher for his on-stage makeup.
but by then my feet were absolutely painful alr thanks to new shoes haha. tsktsk the things girls do to torture themselves. i have like, 6 blisters on my feet now. O U C H. and jonny and paik became my walking sticks last nite. thanks man, tt was really nice. lol. have lotsa pics.. shall post them up soon.

ok i'm going to see a doctor tmr.. i'm been coughing for a week plus.. definitely NOT GOOD. n i can feel a headache manifesting. i'm gonna be a good gal, see doctor, take medicine n rest well tmr. so that i can go for the great escape on wednesday nite. ahahhh!

turns out i didnt sleep all that early last nite bcos of the liverpool match! all was just noise and moving images until rafael benitez brought milan baros in for fernando morientes.. lol that was a brilliant move on the manager's part. made the match so interesting! =then nxt up was ugo ehiogu being sent off. and liverpool still drew 0-0 tt's the best part ahhahaahaha.
i'm gonna laugh at some people for a week lol!


anw. went to play mj at my gran's house with my relatives. gosh i havent eaten good home cooked food like today's in like, forever.

i've been having insomnia problems lately.... i cant get to sleep at nite for the past few days! it's like, i would go to sleep at about 2am but wont fall asleep till nearing 5am. it's torturous! and i have no idea why it is happening! has never happened before to me..


so imagine the state i was in when i fell asleep at 4+am and had to wake up at 7.30 for convoc rehearsal today. two words: darn tired! today's rehearsals were alrite though, even thou i was feeling a little frustrated and trying my best not to reflect it in my tone. was alternating between information overload and boredom haha..


then met bain to catch "wedding crashers". LMAO that show is brainless yet darn amusing. enjoyed laughing at the stuff being said and all the sexual innuendos. wiiicked! then kel joined us for a spot of shopping. by then i was really quite shack already..... begged out of a continued shopping trip to go home. my eyelids were so heavy its unbelievable.


managed to catch the 2nd half of man utd vs everton... man utd won 2-0 yeah! reached home just in time to catch rooney's gift goal. and i think park ji sung played well.. hopes that he doesn't become a junichi inamoto though...
i'm (trying) to watch the liverpool-boro match now. trying. it's difficult to watch a team whom u dont support ahahahaaa. right now it's kinda just noise and images across the tv. ohwell maybe i'm just tired.


good, i wanna make myself even more tired so that i will fall asleep the mo my head hits the pillow later.

yay my parents have returned from their genting getaway so the dead carcass of the poor insect has been removed from my room only hours after its death. ahhhh this sounds morbid. today i hang out with my parents (got ulterior motive - lol) and being the filial daughter that i am, i accompanied them to the bank, to have lunch and to shop around. ulterior motives - i get to drive! ahahahhaaa! it's really a small torture seeing the car sitting there when my dad's away but i dont get to touch it (except if i volunteered to wash it for him)! gahhhhhh. and after my mum got her new phone from starhub, i dragged them to singtel and showed them my next target - the motorola razr v3 black.. wooo! it's darn x thou. $348! but good news is that my current plan expires on september 3rd so that means i can change my phone like, soon! yay! =)


okayy i cant help gushing a bit but then the aim of this entry now is to comment on something that struck me just now. and i really mean just. like at 1am. it's something edwin said. man chatting with him is just great... cant believe we havent chatted in some time alr!
anyway. upon knowing that i have finally finished reading 'birdsong', he recommended 2 more books to me - "The Kite Runner" by Khaled Hosseini, and "Never Let Me Go" by Kazuo Ishiguro and i must admit, they look pretty good. hope to get my hands on them sometime! then he regaled me with some interesting stories hahaa..
but the thing that struck me most is:

i don like being home alone! no one to catch the insects for me! *wails*
i know i sound pampered and spoilt but but... insects terrorise me! i dont mind doing the housework and all but i cant stand insects! HELP!


on a different note - it's so........ (i'm at a loss for adjectives) to know that certain stuff can influence so much of yourself.

had convoc rehearsal yday.. actually i was wondering what was the point of me doing convoc? seems like there's alr enough show directors what. but it seems a bit irresponsible and just.. abit wrong to pull out now. but also feel abit bad for dumping the freshies onto my buddy... sighhh how now brown cow???


then went to meet bain darling to do a spot of shopping. not bad, managed to blow abt $50 yesterday. ARGH kill me!
then went to eat and wil came. haha. looks different without the specs!
then by that time i also darn shack alr..


hmmmm we were deciding between wala's on friday or mambo on wednesday next week but guess what? i realised i may not be able to make it for both! cos have convoc rehearsal on sat 13th and the actual convoc on sat 20th n darn, have convoc rehearsal on wed 17th! siannnn diao!

went to help out for the ReadSMU campaign at Li Ka Shing Library today.. turnout was definitely better than what i had expected.. must be bcos of the free book and free food haha.. anw the thing is that i had lunch with prof howard hunter! hahaha.. to be mroe precise, we (me, jasmine, gayle, alvina, xiaoping, nina n another gal) had lunch with howard hunter, kirpal singh, darren hansen (smu daily alerts guy frm occ) and daren shiau (author of 'heartland').. at this viet eatery place at chijmes! ahahahaa high class ah! i was sitting in btwn hunter n kirpal singh man.. stressful! they were chatting about philosophies, creation theories, the arts and business models. names thrown about include [AirAsia CEO] Tony Fernandes and [Virgin CEO] Richard Branson! hahaa and we could only smile and nod in case we said sth dumb by accident ahahahaa...


then i decided not to go for the ikea sale with xp, wanida n regina cos yes, i agree the horrible makes ppl feel lethargic! ended up slacking in a gsr with jasmine n gayle n entertaining ourselves hahaa.. tireddddd!

met my dearies from cedar badminton yday.. havent seen them for a looong time! went to watch "be with you" and oh man, it IS a nice show! a nice, sad but super duper sweet romantic jap flick! ahahahaa.. the storyline is really unique! go watch it if u havent watched it! n be quick.. its ending its run soon i think..
then we went coffee club for dinner. and weiting flew aeroplane.. stuck in her hall meeting haha.. anw yeah the thing that excites us most again is desserts. welovedesserts! hahaa! we ate alot la basically.. still remember the times in secondary school where we'll all go to seoul garden to pig out during vday ahahaha!


then we headed down to zouk for a spot of mambo-ing. or shd i say phuture-ing. ohwell. had my usual flaming lambo n a shot.. ran into jem in phuture who is highly drunk hoho.. then after he left phuture at 12+, i thought i better go check on him n good thing i did.. nxt thing i know, we were outside zouk n he's feeling violently unwell alr.. hahhaaa. its kinda amusing seeing his frens fussing over him la..
all in all, i shd say that last nite was interesting hahahaa..

Boil it in hot water long enough and take a bite and you will find that it taste just like candy. Now you must be thinking to yourself, what is this amazing guy (hahaadd ed the amazing just for the comedic factor, so lets all laugh together now HAHA! :P) talking about? What do I and a carrot have to do with any of this?


Well it is simple. I would like to see your inherit sweetness, be it a sweet, sour or bitter or even spicy flavor remains to be known. And the means to bring out that flavor you ask? Well, by no means am I going to boil you in hot water unless we are talking about you in a Jacuzzi. hmmmI seem to be sidetracking(*shakes head*). k anyways I will be trying to bring out your flavor over a coffee session. I always think that a coffee session is the best way to know a person better, the nice atmosphere, a nice drink (does not need to be coffee if you dun take coffee as I dun take coffee :P ) and most importantly good conversation ah yes the feeling of laughing and talking the hours away it is like a mental orgasm.

firstly, i like carrots and i don mind eating them raw. i happen to like carrot juice alot, esp when it is mixed with apple juice.

thirdly, i don fancy the jacuzzi stuff u are talking abt.
