Back from HK this afternoon! Would really really love to give a detailed account of the whole trip but I'm tired now! So I'll just give a 5-min summary now hehe..

Crashed at Bain & Fred's place near Central on Hong Kong Island (Thanks Bainie!) and it was really great! B&F, thanks v v much for letting us crash at your place.. $$ saved went to more food and shopping hehe!

And so, thanks to semi-local recommendations, we swept over HK in 5 days..

Day1 (Wed)> Arrive in HK early afternoon, stowed luggage in airport, headed to Citygate outlet mall at Tung Chung to shop. Had lunch at Federal Palace (dim sum - recommended!); headed in to HK Island to meet Bain & Fred in the evening. Dinner @ another dim sum place in IFC Mall

Day2 (Thu)> Brunch at cha chan teng, took the Star ferry to Tsim Tsa Tsui on Kowloon Island, shopped at Harbour City Mall, TST H&M. Desserts at Sweet Dynasty then headed to my fave shopping street in Kowloon - Granville Street near Jordan. Pick-me-ups along the way include Mango hashima drink from Xu Liu Shan, milk tea from gong cha, street side curry fishballs. Then headed to Fa Yuen street at Prince Edward for more shopping! Dinner at cha chan teng.

Day3 (Fri)> Brunch at Lan Fong Yuen (cha chan teng), egg tarts, shop around IFC, then took the Star ferry (again cos I like ferry rides!) to TST, then headed to Mongkok. Shopped at New Town mall (fantastic), then walked thru Ladies' Street. Evening ferry (lovely view) back to HK Island to meet Bain, Fred and 2 other new friends (Faye & Jeremy) for dinner. Drinks at Sevva then headed to Lan Kwai Fong to check out Azure (overcrowded).

Day4 (Sat)> Morning ferry to Macau! Check out Casino Lisboa, had awesome Portuguese egg tarts, walked around taking pictures, had traditional noodles (too hard), walked more, had lunch at this super duper old school cha chan teng, then went to check out the Venetian! It's huuuuuge! Super large compound! Night ferry back to HK, then headed to Sogo area for dinner. Totally tired out at night!

Day5 (Sun)> Brunch at normal english cafe, then headed out to Stanley for some beach / harbour views.. Really nice! Strolled around Stanley market, then walked along the promenade, had snacks at some restaurant bar. Hot weather, cold pint of Hoegaarden, perfect day. As we were leaving, we saw a yacht on fire across Stanley! Super drama! After Stanley, headed to Times Square to kill some time, then headed up to the Peak for sunset views.. Gorgeous (and windy)!

Day5 (Mon)> Breakfast at Lin Heung Ju (super old school dim sum place where aunties wheel out dim sum and you can stop them if you want the dim sum. Food was super super good, awesome po luo bao!! Then headed to airport and back to SG..

Ok over 5 mins, but I could go on forever! It was such a great trip thanks to B&F! =)

direction

Sometimes... really feel quite directionless in terms of career. Don't know what I want to do, don't know what's my interest, don't feel like talking about it to boss.

It has long been a frustrating thing; that what I'm good at isn't necessarily what I like, what I like isn't necessarily what I'm good at.

What to do?
Float float float...
